Requirement

The customer requirement is for a game to launch their new product - cigarettes that are smoother and have a better filter "Smooth Flo". The game is intended to be played on the iPad and will essentially capture the following data points: Username, Age and Date of access.

   

Project Brief

The project brief was an engaging game based module for the user.

   

Technical

The WITS team helped detail the design for the game. The team also helped in sourcing the iPads for the customer (more than 150 of these were needed for the project within a month of the launch of the iPad!). The game comprises the following elements :

  • A 3d interactive view of the newly launched cigarette pack, where the user can also see inside the pack of Marlboro.
  • A product video.
  • Finally, a tunnel game that essentially replicates the new, smooth filter . The game is that the user captures the golden beams in the tunnel to fill the filter bar. The score is linked to the number of gold beams captured in the filter bar.

The final solution is a fun, engaging informercial for the users.

   

Completion

The WITS team developed the content using 3ds Max software for 3D animation and After Effects for composition. The solution was assembled and developed using Objective - C with Open GL using iPad SDK.
