Requirement

The client Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) is promoted by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, India. The client is a leader in the education sector and integrates Information Technology in teaching, learning and educational management processes for best results. The client needed a course to introduce 14 year old kids to the world of computers.
   

Project Brief

The project brief involved the creation of a Flash based course to initiate kids to fundamentals of computers as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
   

Technical

The course takes the kids through a journey of various geographical sites. The main character of the course is a Genie which takes the children to different scenic locations and explains the concepts of the topics to them. The character also imparts information about the places.

The course is divided into various topics which are further divided into labs. This division ensures proper learning and retention. Each topic contains a summarizing frame and a check point to reinforce learning.

The entire content has been created as a Flash movie. The minimum requirement to view the site is the Flash player or the Internet Explorer 6.0 or any other Flash-compatible browser.
   

Completion

The Flash based course was well received by the client.
