Requirement

The requirement was for an elearning module that could teach users how to fill an “Account Opening Form”.
   

Project Brief

The project brief comprised the Communication Design, Graphics and Programming of the learning solutions. It also comprised details on the final content architecture and design.
   

Technical

The WITS team created a simple player in which the course could run. The Player had the following features:

  • Table of Contents and the option to navigate the various sections of the course
  • Navigation buttons (Play, Pause, Next, Back & Replay)
  • Volume Control

On the integration side, the course was broken into smaller files. Each form was built as a single file. This architecture allowed for ease of modification or update to any single form which was as easy as replacing the file of the form.

The navigation flow of the Player was loaded from an XML file. Another XML file contained the TOS & typewriter filled data of the course; this also enabled easy modification of the data at any point of time in future.

The module was developed using Shockwave Flash.

- Minimum requirement: Internet Explorer 6.0 or any other compatible browser with 800x600 resolution.

- Minimum machine configuration requirment:

- Pentium – 1 Ghz with 512 MB RAM

The default window size is 1024x768. If the user’s screen resolution is higher, the site was designed to be centre aligned. All graphics used in the module are minimum 16 bit and above. The resources and components are utilized in such a way that the site delivery is seamless without any interruptions.
   

Completion

The design for Interface was selected at first attempt from the options provided to the client. Despite the tight project schedule, the WITS team was able to complete the task within the given timelines.
